Marko Purišić was born on July 5, 1995, in Rijeka, Croatia, and grew up in the coastal town of Umag. Before pursuing a music career, he worked as a children's assistant in an elementary school and studied public relations, tourism, and sound engineering. He initially gained fame as the guitarist for the rock band Manntra, participating in the Croatian National Final *Dora* in 2019, where they placed fourth with their song "In the Shadows."

In 2023, Purišić embarked on a solo career, adopting the persona of Baby Lasagna. His music blends various genres, including pop punk, techno, and metal, reflecting his diverse influences from artists like Rammstein and Måneskin.
