First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Rozalla for graciously taking the time to answer my questions about her latest musical endeavors.

Jig: Can you tell us about the inspiration behind your new album, "Turn on the Light," and what sets it apart from your previous work?
Rozalla: The inspiration for the album "Turn On The Light" was my chat with Gary Simmons and the direction of what we wanted to make the album sound like. and from there other ideas began to pour in as we went along.

Jig: How has your musical style evolved since your early hits like "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" to this latest album?

Rozalla: I feel this album helps me showcase my vocals in that I have different facets to my voice and I can do ballads and mid-tempo tracks, so it's not all a dance track album.

Jig: What message or emotions do you hope listeners take away from "Turn on the Light"?
Rozalla: My hope would be that they love the album, and they'll have a track or two that will put a smile on their face.

Jig: Are there any specific tracks on the album that hold special meaning to you, and if so, why?
Rozalla:  To be honest the whole album means a lot to me, as I recorded my last album about fifteen years ago. So, I'm thankful to have this opportunity to make new music.

Jig: How was the creative process different for this album compared to your previous projects?Rozalla:  For me personally, it's been the same as my past recordings because all involved bring their talents to the table and share ideas to make the album become what it is. I couldn't do it alone.

Jig: Can you share any memorable moments or challenges you faced while working on "Turn on the Light"?
Rozalla:  We were meant to release the album four years ago, but then covid came. but still, we have the album out and I'm grateful for that.

Jig: How do you see the role of dance music in spreading positivity and joy, especially during challenging times like these?
Rozalla: I think musically an uplifting beat always helps and especially lyrics that have a positive meaning and that pulls one into the song taking you to another place of feeling good.

Jig: Are there any collaborations on the album that were particularly exciting or rewarding for you?
Rozalla: I did a duet some years ago with Allan Jay, and Gary and I thought it would be good to have on my new album.

Jig: What can fans expect from your upcoming performances or tours in support of "Turn on the Light"?
Rozalla: I sincerely hope that I'll get the opportunity to go out and perform the album and showcase the songs for the fans.
