It's Friday, and there are some exciting new music releases to look forward to this week! Dua Lipa is back with her signature modern disco sound, and we can't wait to hear it. Plus, we have some dance music legends like Inner CityJocelyn BrownDave Audé, and Todd Terry doing what they do best, produce solid dancefloor gems. And let's not forget about the new Taylor Swift remix, as well as fresh tracks from Romy, Wuki & Lee Foss, and Gabry Ponte. With all these great releases, we have a perfect soundtrack for our long weekend and Summer kickoff!

 

Dua Lipa - Dance The Night 

 

Pop sensation Dua Lipa has released her highly anticipated single, 'Dance the Night', from the upcoming 'Barbie' movie soundtrack. The song was written in collaboration with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, who both composed the music for the film, and Norwegian singer Caroline Ailin.

Taylor Swift has released a remix of her song "Karma" featuring rapper Ice Spice. The remix is part of a new Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) album, which also includes a "vault" track called "You're Losing Me."

Ice Spice adds an all-new verse to the song, and also makes a few interjections here and there in Swift's verses. According to Swift, she is a massive fan of Ice Spice and after getting to know her, she can confirm that she is the one to watch. The remix marks Ice Spice's latest high-profile collaboration.

 

Romy - Enjoy Your Life

 

Romy, a member of the band The xx, has released a new single called "Enjoy Your Life"

The song features a sample from Beverly Glenn-Copeland and is described by Romy as "emotional music to dance to." The music video for the song was filmed by Romy's wife, Vic Lentaigne, and includes intimate moments of Romy as well as footage of her late mother.

 

This is the second time Romy has collaborated with Fred Again... after their hit single "Strong",

Romy has described the inspiration for the song as the line "My mother says to me enjoy your life".

 

Wuki & Lee Foss - To Be Real

Gabry Ponte, HOSANNA - One By One

Recently, on May 25th, 2023, he released a new song called "One By One" in collaboration with HOSANNA, which samples the 1997 Deep Dish dance anthem, Sandy B's "Make The World Go Round."

Additionally, in February 2023, he released another electro pop dance smash called "Coca-Cola"
